Job Description:  Manager of Business Development

Professional Filing Systems, Inc. (dba PFS Storage and Retrieval Systems) requires a Manager of Business Development to create, lead, and oversee the development and growth of profitable new business and to develop and maintain effective and profitable key client relationships. This position will be responsible for all aspects of managing, motivation and expanding the PFS Sales Team.  This position will ensure business growth through personal sales efforts and directing and managing the business development activities.

Responsible to: PFS CEO

  • External relationships: “A” Level Corporate and Commercial Clients, Architects, DOD, Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, Attorney’s, Federal, State, and Local Government Agencies, Service and Trade Associations, Chamber of Commerce, etc.
  • Salary:  Base Salary; Commissions on Sales Profits in excess of established goals.
  • Location:  San Antonio, TX

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of Company’s vision and strategy.
  • Support the overall process of management and corporate decision-making to ensure the organization maximizes its short, medium and long-term profitability.
  • Develop, review, and report on business development strategy, ensuring the strategic objectives are well understood and executed by the team.
  • Must be knowledgeable with GSA sales to the DOD.

Management of the Overall Business Development Function

•  Impact the profitability of the company through ensuring strategic and tactical management decisions and new business development results

•  Marketing

•  Competitor and Market Analysis

•  Develop and lead the PFS Sales Team in sourcing, managing, and implementing new business opportunities

•  Ensure efficient and effective marketing, advertising and promotional planning.

•  Present a budget for approval and manage resources within those budgetary guidelines.

•  Maintain and develop organizational culture, values and reputation in the PFS market and with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners and regulatory/official bodies
